Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) is a rare neurodegenerative disorder that can cause a multitude of symptoms in any combination including impairments to balance, difficulty with movement, poor coordination, bladder dysfunction, sleep disturbances and poor blood pressure control. MSA is difficult to diagnose, progressively harder to live with, a challenge to treat, and can be fatal.

The MSA Coalition is a source of expert information on all aspects of MSA, including types, symptoms, treatments, and prognosis. The Coalition funds research and provides research results and treatment pipeline updates. We encourage the news media to cite information from our website and share www.multiplesystematrophy.org as a resource in their articles.

Reporters who wish to interview an MSA Coalition spokesperson or a physician, researcher, patient, or care partner are encouraged to contact The MSA Coalition’s Strategic Communications staff at info@multiplesystematrophy.org.
